advice on negotiating best price 2016 f150

Hello, I am a car buying novice and found a 2016 new f150 that i want to buy that has everything I want. The MSRP says $45085 and minus a dealer discount $10,059 for a total of $35026 is what the dealership has it listed for.

I am unsure how to go about negotiating the best deal for this car and wanted to know if anyone had any ideas or tips on what my "lowest" price should be. From my understanding, I need to ask them for the invoice price and figure out their "holdbacks" and rebates?

This is a 2016 model so I am hoping they want to get this off their lot for the 2018's and just dont want to pay more than I could pay for.

I have searched the cities in my state and this is the only dealership that has exactly what I want.

Thank you guys for your advice!

I grabbed a 17 STX for about $9,000 off (discounts and rebates).

So, 10,000 off a '16 doesn't really sound jumping up and down about.

Dunno about holdbacks on a '16. Dealer could have already possibly used that on advertising or floorplan interest.

Good luck on that one.

Provide a link to the specific truck on the dealers site, and maybe we can help further.
