AC Blowing very very Cold!!

The few auto shops I've worked in, pulling vaccuum on an AC system is a requirement. Most use a similar style of oil, but there are a few that use exotics. Those were the ones we had to watch out for. When we evacuated the system, we held vaccuum for at least 30 minutes (usually over a lunch break so maybe a little longer). If it didn't hold 98% vaccuum over that period, we would clean the entire engine bay then test with pressure and a florescent liquid in the system. Scanned everything with a blacklight. Left it pressurized for a bit, then checked it again. If it held pressure we would pull vaccuum again and make sure the gauges were holding. We didn't have the best gauges in the world, but they worked properly. Again if it held 98% we would refill the system with the refrigerant and oil required. Lots of AllData and Google for factory specs. Some of those AC systems are expensive as hell and I wasn't gonna buy one for a customer. Lol.
To the OP, Glad your AC is running much better.

Thanks! Still working awesome.
Good points on the ac service.
Great replies on this thread. My intention was to get people to NOT just throw in a can of that 134a they buy at Walmart. But rather do the job right.
Glad to have some ac pros on this site! Thanks fellas
