Default OIL CHANGE on NEW truck?

Manual says 10,000 miles. My truck is a 2011 4x4 with 3.7L engine. I'm moving to an extreme cold weather climate soon. -40F is possible not including wind chill. Truck will have about 1200 miles on it before the move. should I get it changed? Manaul says nothing. Thanks.
