Default 96 f-150

anyone have advice on a no heat situation in my 96 f-150..?
i have changed the termastat.. both engine and computer sensor..
it does blow heat now and then..also have a constant check engine lite
on..its starting to be a pain in the ****...

Sounds like a faulty blower

Which computer sensor are you refering too?

No computer. The blower is a fan that blows the heat in the dash... If its not turning on all the time then I'd start with that. It could be as easy as a fuse. The 92 - 96 climate control system is not very complex.
You may also have air in the system following the thermostat change. If the blower works but the heat itself is inconsistent then it could certainly be low coolant or air in the system.

the blower works fine,,that was my next step,, going to a jiffy lube and having the cooling system reverse flushed..i did flush the system with the thermstat change.. it was like mud that drained out..still dont know why the check engine lite is on..
with replacing the 2 engine sensors

first step: get your codes read.
If you had a muddy coolant system, your heater core is probably clogged. Flush your system thoroughly, and take the heater hoses off at the water pump and flow water through your heater core both ways, that'll clear some of the gunk
