Question 95 F150 transmission problems

I just bought this truck and the transmission will not shift into drive you can move the the selector to drive but it will load the transmission it will go into reverse and go fine the guy I bought it from said he was driving it and the line got a leak he cut out the leak and replaces it with a rubber transmission line and drove it that day with no problems he parked it for the night and when he tried to leave the next day he backed out of the driveway and put into drive and it would not move. so then he chanced the fluid and filter in the transmission and still nothing and this is where I come in. not sure if it is a sensor issue or the selector gear box sensor any advice would be great thanks

Could be a forward clutch problem. If it was driven with low fluid it could have damaged a clutch pack.

I agree with ^^^^^time for a rebuild... No telling how long the leak was for and how long he drove it until he noticed the leak...
