89 5.0 4x4 Violent Shaking
I've got an 89 F-150 5.0 4x4 on a 6" lift with 33" tires. When i hit a pot-hole or some sort of dip in the road the truck will go into these violent spazzums. It feels like its coming out of the front passenger tire but im not sure. Front axle for sure. My buddy has stuck his head out the window and said that the tire is lierally skipping/hopping across the road and not grabbing traction. Usually after it happens once it will happen a few more times in the next few minutes without hitting anything else. The only cure for this ive found so far is to slowway down almost to idle and then accelerate again. Any ideas on how i can fix the shaking?
I havent found anything leaking, I've checked all my fluids, c6 trans and in good shape, front tires are in slight need of alignment but i havent got the money for that just yet.
I also have a 77 F-150 with the exact same issue. 351w, 5.8, 4x4, 6" sus, 3"body, 36" tires. Only difference with this one is usually when i accelerate to 30mph+ it shakes the exact same way as the 89.

Kill em all
Balance the tires, get an alignment, jack the front end up with the tires off the ground and shake, pull, push, kick and punch up and down on both sides and make sure everything is tight and in good condition.

Sounds to me like your shock absorber is gone... New shocks should fix it.
Possibly could be a u-joint too. Those will shake the hell out of you when they are going out.
