Default Super Raptor and Mega Raptor ?

Was YouTubing this morning and came across this Super Raptor and Mega Raptor ? In my opinion raptor is all about speed so I’m not sure about this.

There are others here that said it would for sure without a doubt have a big block V8 in 2019. One of them even used cubic inch numbers, 460. Said I was stupid for doubting him.

Well I'd hope it would be an updated version. The olde 460 was a good strong engine, but by todays standards, not much to be impressed with.
IMO, a 7.0, would be very cool, updated of course. There's just something about the word, "427" that makes me tingle.

Agreed on all counts. A modern OHC/DOHC 427 would be the bees knees. I don't know what kind of MPG it would produce, but I suspect that is one of the things holding back such an engine. CAFE is getting tight, and that thing would probably be a pig. I would also probably be one of the first in line...

Hey guys, serious question.

I already know that the Raptor has more hp and torque than a standard F150. And I see people asking for more and more power.

I get it and see it in other posts, like the towing forum. But the question...

Why is so much power needed in a off road vehicle? Aren’t they normally (when off off road) low speed vehicles? I have heard the torque argument is the reason the 3.5 EB is a great vehicle for the Raptor.

Is this just a more power is better thing or to give it better performance off road? Thanks all
