Default $500 to spend but on what?

i have $500 to spend on my truck and i already know i want a k&n cold air intake.it's gonna be about $250.what else could i get with the remaining money?i am looking for performance.

What is/are your objective(s)?

What year? Engine? Cab? 2 or 4WD?

i just want to get some more power.it's a 2004 2wd, swb, crew cab.gas mileage would be a plus too.

Engine?

If it's 5.4, you risk a lean condition with the intake. Get a tuner with custom tunes.

it is a 5.4. what do you mean a lean condition? and what all could i get out of a tuner?

Too much air or not enough fuel in the AFR. Causes high engine temps and can burn pistons.

so having a custom tuner wouldn't help with the cold air intake?i will go over $500 if i can get a couple good mods to help with my truck.it's all stock and i have had it for 2 years and i am ready to start doing things here and there.

The DIY Gotts mod will provide more than enough air for your engine. I would not do any intake mod on an 04-05 5.4 without first getting tuner with custom tunes.
