Question $50 worth of supplies

If you just bought a truck (new or used) and can spend fifty bucks on things like a roadside kit, flares, cables, tiedowns, etc... where would you prioritize to get the most for your money?

jumper cables and if there's any money left then tie down straps for any cargo in the future.
However you get what you pay for when it comes to straps!
Add a hammer, zip ties, screw driver, flashlight and maybe some spare oil and coolant.
Other than that .....call McGiver!

Whats a good gauge for jumper cables? I probably won't be boosting a Mac truck, but the small ones look really, really weak.

Honestly i spent like $30 on jumper cables, I got them at autozone, and they are 6 AWG-so 6 gauge. They are the thickest ones i've ever seen for normal cars and trucks. I'm sure you could get by with the thinner ones, I'm sure any size they make will work with our trucks, because all cars run on a 12 volt system.
