5.4l what?

Hello few questions.... if anyone can help me out...

My truck is a 5.4l Triton 2wd crew cab.

When i go to tire websites it says NOTHING about TRITON.... So..... what is my truck? here are MY options

it has to be either a lariat, xl, xlt.

my tires are stock and are 245 70 17, i want to pick the proper model so i an order the right wheels and tires...

Next question.... Because my current tires read 245 70 17 can i go up to 18's without lifting? if so, what would be the max specs i could go? The tire guy said 165 __ 18 but he was less informed than i... lol.. so i figured i'd ask the experts here  lol thank you in advanced.

The triton is just the name for the engine, has nothing to do with the trim level of the truck. If there's no XLT, Lariat or STX badging, it's an XL.

There are several threads in the tech sections about tire size and what you can run, go poke through them and you'll find your answer.

Two things.....1) triton is an engine family name of ford. You have a 5.4L which is all you need. 2). Your truck has 17in diameter wheels. You must use a 17in diameter tire, nothing else will work. The tire width (245mm) and/or sidewall height (70% of 245mm which is what the 70 means) can be varied a bit and still work. A 265 is 20mm wider than your current tire and if it is a 265/70 then it is also taller than your current tire.....by 14mm. A 265/60 is 159mm tall where your current tire is 171mm tall. Hope you see how it works.
