Default Stereo Help.

Hey,
I have a 2005 F150 Lariat and put a pioneer deck in it today, everything works but the sub . It is the stock one that comes with the truck. I bought the adapter for the sub and it had two extra blue wires thats i wasent sure what to do with so i taped them off, i think this may be the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

I think those are the turn on wires for the sub. Check this thread https://www.f150forum.com/f2/looking...er-h-u-103143/

Yep both blue's have to go to the blue from the deck to tell the factory amp to turn on. Without those blue wires connected, you have signal to the sub to play the music and you have power to it, but you don't have the signal from the deck telling it when to turn on and off.

You will have a slight pop from the sub when you turn on and off the truck that can be eliminiated with a resistor, but it won't harm anything if you don't wire one in.
