Also I have no problem with a Prius, I just don't see how that first guy got from me asking about gas mileage to me needing a Prius.
Its seems like prius and civic comments come up all the times

Also you may want to check out the ecoboost. I test drove a FX4 ecoboost yesterday just for fun and i was really surprised with the power and you get a little better MPG if you stay out of the turbos but the 5.0 is a great choice

Yeah I have been searching through threads for the last 3-4 weeks and I have noticed a lot of those Prius comments...

Also I hadn't really considered the ecoboost yet, but I will definitely drive one before I make my final decision. I am about 2 months from paying my boat off so I need to start test driving them soon!

Most people who have the ecoboost like it. its the 3.5 v6 with the turbos and it gets more HP and Torque with the turbos than the 5.0. Some people dont like all the technology that went into it and just go with the v8. Just whatever you do look at all the options you have, trust me there are more than you think, and get the truck you want and dont let people talk you into something you dont want. The 4X4 is also something that you will be happy to have on the dock and you never know when you will need it.

No I don't own a business, just a hobby.

I haven't priced the ecoboost yet, but hopefully I will get a chance to go test drive some this weekend. I also plan on test driving some Rams too. I have seen some really good deals on them, but I still like teh Ford a lot better right now.

I have a 2011 XLT SCAB 4x2 3.7 V6. I avg. 20 mpg. I got the truck in Oct. 2011, so I expect to do even better in warmer weather. I have had two 4x4 vehicles in past and almost never used the 4wd, so why bother buying 4x4 this time. Even if you get only 1 mpg better, it's worth it if you simply do not need 4x4. It all depends on where you live and your situation.

Default Actual MPG

I have a FX4 with a 5.0L and 3.73 gears and 35" tires. I was getting 16.8 mpg before my CAI (6,000 miles), and I am now getting 17.4 mpg (1,100 miles) with it. However, i also spent the money on the Hypertech speed calibrator which helped tremendously with shifting because of the larger tires.

Could be the ethanol... Those cheaters probably have access to real gas.
