Never said you were guessing. What I was saying is that you had experience that contradicts what is generally true for most people. Therefore my point was that there is more to it than what is being taken from it. Maybe the AT you had performs horribly on the road compared to other ATs on the market....maybe there were differences in tire pressure, maybe your mud terrains performed great on the road compared to some other MTs..maybe your driving habits were a bit different....etc etc etc. My point is that you cant make one broad generalized statement based on one experience. I'm glad, that for whatever reason, you didnt suffer the mileage loss that most do when going to MTs....But I don't think it justifies telling people that they aren't going to suffer mileage loss by switching simply because you didn't that one time.
Exactly...therefore you can't sit there and say with confidence that there is not much difference in fuel mileage between ATs and MTs because you can't truly test that with sufficient confidence. There are too many factors playing into it.
