I started my truck shopping in March. I was in the dealership signing the papers when the deal fell through because what the salesperson represented was not at all what was on the paperwork the finance guy had. In April, I bought the same truck from a different dealer. Both dealers were magically able to find that I was eligible for a $3000 private cash offer which had allegedly been issued to me, but not used. I bought my last truck in 2012, so it's not like I was due up for a lease trade in or anything. My buddy works for the company that processes all rebates for all the auto companies. He was able to look up rebates for me by VIN. It seems that the rebates are more VIN specific than anything, Aside from a few rebates like American Quarter Horse, or First Responder/Veteran or college grad, most of the rebates are set to each vehicle. And those rebates can't be combined with the bigger rebates anyhow. So basically, this was a very long way of saying... Go to a dealer and tell them what you are looking for and have them shop vehicles for you. They will find you as many rebates as they can.

Also, if you are like me and hate dealing with salespeople, "go to a dealer" is as easy as emailing your local dealer. I have bought my last two vehicles entirely by emailing or texting the salesperson up until the moment I went in to sign and get the keys.

You CAN combine the PCO with other rebates. I was notified by 2 of my local dealers that I had a PCO for $3,500. I was able to combine that with other current rebates of $2,250 for a total rebate of $5,750 on my deal.

Yes, it can be combined with a lot of the other rebates. But there are some that can't be combined.

Just magically received this today on an STX FX4. I was happy with the $5k in Ford rebates and the $8k the dealer took off of sticker, but was whiney about dealer add-ons. Low and behold, an extra $3k in rebates appeared on the worksheet. Made stomaching the dealer adds like a bedliner and tint a bit easier. A $31k price tag made for a happy camper! Now I need to go about updating my profile.
