Default 3.55 electronic lock rr axle

So is a "3.55 ELECTRONIC LOCK RR AXLE", please educate me. Is this a limited slip that can be manually locked or does it just function when the the driver locks it?

Not LS, functions only when the driver locks it.

Not an LS in any way. Open diff until you pull the button, then 100% locker. Believe it automatically disengages at speeds above 25 MPH. Shouldn't be used in high traction situations.

Great information , and excellent link to the other thread. Started looking at it closer after the salesman told me it was both . the build sheet shows “less locking differential” and” less under carriage protection” which i thought standard on the limited trim. A mess of information.

What build sheet are you looking at? I've noticed that sometimes the ETIS site will list an option as "LESS..." when it comes standard with a trim or package but can also be a stand alone option.

ETIS, well that explains it, they had several options on my build sheet listed as "LESS", underbody protection, extended fuel tank, Differential, etc. Thank you for the info.
