Default 3.5 vs 2.7

What is the bottom line with the f 150 2.7L engines vs the 3.5. Have their been problems with the 2.7. I see alot more 2.7 f 150s available used

No idea. I put 44k on a 2.7 from 2015 and it ran like a scolded dog & drove problem-free for all those miles. The 3.5 has been the same way, with more power & dang near exact same fuel economy.

I don't have experience with the 2.7L but I can tell Ya the 3.5L is a towing beast.

In general the 2.7 is rated to tow less and has less payload (therefore less towing capacity and cargo carrying capacity) than equal trim 3.5 ecoboost.
Both motors are fine.

The 2.7 was purpose built from the ground up. I really wish they would have done some of the same things with the 2nd gen 3.5.. It's one weak point is its lower end

But once you get past that first week, it's all good from there. Sorry, I had to.
