Default 2wd vs 4wd

can anyone tell me why you can install 35 on a 4x4 and only 33 on a 4x2?

A 4x4 sit's taller then a 4x2 and gives you extra room to clear the 35's after the truck is leveled. Sometimes the tire width is more of a problem then the height.

X2 pawpaw, that is the problem, also if you go to high, like with a 3" level some people where out cv shafts because of the angle (it puts too much stress on them) so they end up having to put longer spindles, which as much as spindles cost, you might as well get a full suspension lift which comes with longer spindles!!! So basically the clearance affects the angles which affect parts which means more $$$$$ in the long run!!!

Rim offset is a big factor, I have -12 on my 2wd and ran 33/12.50/17 with no level, now I'm level running 305/70/17...
