208000 miles

Hey guys I’m looking at a ford truck that is 14995. It’s a 2016 F-150 4x4 xlt. The only problem is it has 208000 miles on it not to much concerned about the motor, it’s the tranny I’m worried about it’s been serviced at Ford and been taken care of no issues it was a company truck. What you guys think?

Personally, I would never pay 15k for a 200k +miles truck. Especially not for a gas truck

That’s a great concept. I like it, great negotiating point.

I think that is a lot of miles for that kind of money.

Neither would I.

And it's just an XLT at that, I'm betting low options XLT since it was a company truck

Sadly, I think you are better off paying more for a lower mileage truck. Even if that means having to finance for a longer term. Repairs are just very, very costly. A couple of repairs and you could have had a much lower mileage truck with a warranty instead.

Here's a large part of the equation though...how many miles per year will you put on the truck? If you're a super low mileage user, picking up a higher mileage vehicle isn't as bad. If you're a 15k/year driver, that truck will possibly need major repairs in short time.

Absolutely not for 200k
