Tundra is an aged platform, as far as design and interior it's not up to times, titan has been refreshed but don't know much about it.

I think we are talking in circles. The spreadsheet list the "as tested" configuration for the 2019 Ram Limited. This is the tow rating, 10600 lbs and 990 payload, for the truck driven by his friend. My point is the tow rating, unique to the truck, is unachievable. If you tow at the rated capacity and 10%tongue weight, the payload is exceeded before the driver gets in the truck.

I am not disagreeing with you. The problem is that you can't spec a Limited Ram with a towing capacity of 10600. The highest rating, when you actually build a Limited truck is 8430 lbs. That is a 2wd Hemi long box with the least equipment available. I own a 2019 4x4 E-torque Limited long box with every option I could get. The towing capacity is only 8080 lbs. Manufactures typically advertise their best case towing which doesn't apply to 99.9% of the trucks sold. It's misleading advertising in my mind and puts consumers at risk.

Why wouldn't I expect a 74K truck to come out on top of the heap ??

None of these trucks other than the Chevy is really useful to do truck stuff. Remember the payloads listed are as it leaves the factory. Add a spray in bed liner and a bed cover and you lose another 100 pounds of payload. That means the RAM has less payload than a compact car, and the Ford has right at 1000 pounds. Put 600 pounds of people in Ram and you better leave your ice chest at home much less a trailer. Put them in the Ford and you can still carry a few pieces of luggage but you can forget about even towing a bass boat as you don't have the payload. Ford should not of put the softer springs in the Limited lowering the GVWR to 6750 it just handicaps the payload making that truck near unusable. The 2019 is worse given the increased weight of the HO motor and dual exhaust.

I think the majority of f150 limited's wont be used for towing or hauling or offroad use, the 22 inch rims are kind of a killer too, most people would opt for a platinum or king ranch without losing any luxury features from the limited but still retaining some truck functionality.

Tested Ram and GMC Denali. Poor comparison to my 2019 Ford F150 Limited. Both had a combination or both of absent features my F150 has. No illuminated door sill (both). No massaging seats (both). No 36 gallon fuel tank (both). No pwr tilt/telescoping steering column (both). No rear bed step assist (Ram). No pwr folding tow mirrors (Ram/manualfold). No panoramic roof (Denali). No adaptive cruise control (Denali). Undersize engines compared to 2019 Ford F150 Limited with raptor engine (both). Lack of rear bed volume (Ram). Those Ram boxes leave you with a teeny tiny bed space. The Denali's interior still dates back to the 2015 model. I'd know because I had a 2016.I would have taken a step backwards with either of those vehicles. $70k worth of nothing. Ran my *** back to Ford in a rush. Just installed my tonneau cover. Getting my bedrug mat next week.

That engine in the 19 is kick ***. I went with the 18 limited plenty of power and when I found out the 19's were $5K more I decided that owning an almost $80K pickup truck was not a good investment of my time or money. That being said I sure would like to have that engine but not at price tag. I am happy and at $57K out the door even happier.

Congratulations. Yes, Ford was very bold and aggressive with a 10% hike on the 2019 Limited. I traded my 2018 Limited with sticker of $68.4k for the new 2019 Limited at $74.2k. I wanted the Raptor engine, dual exhaust, and the other little perks for 2019. I paid $70k out the door. And I got $50k on the trade. It was 18 months old. Bought 9/1/17. 13k miles.
