Default 2019 Driveline Vibration

Have a 19 Supercab with 8' box. It has a vibration or harmonic that is noticeable most of the time. Definitely is not a tire out of balance type vibration. It is cyclical and feels like you are going over very fine speed bumps then smooth then vibrate again. If I put on the brakes hard enough to make it down shift and let it coast, the vibration is more noticeable. Sport mode seems to make the vibration more noticeable. I am taking it to the dealer but would like to have a better idea of what it could be. Trans, driveshaft? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

sounds like it's rev-related....i.e. you say when it downshifts and you coast it's more noticeable (higher rpm) or sport mode (allows for higher engine rpm).

Has no one else ever had a similar driveline vibration? The dealer balanced all 4 tires said that 3 of the 4 were out of spec (nice job Ford). Tire rebalance made no difference.

I hate reading posts like this one having experienced those horrible vibrations on another truck... Chevy Silverado.

OP, there's a recent post on checking the differential ring gear setting to eliminate vibration. I can't find it on the mobile site you may find it to be very useful information, if you can find it.

I'm having a similar issue in my 19 XL crew cab. At 20mph I have a slight vibration that can be felt in steering wheel, feels like going over a very mellow rumble strip in road. It goes away once above 22mph and below 18mph. Dealer says they think it's in driveline but have no idea what would be causing it.

I know this doesn't help solve your problem, but I've heard some complaints of vibration from other F150 owners. I also know that Toyota had a problem with this on the Tacoma, it's been well discussed on Tacoma forums. Most seem to think it was all drive line related.

My 2016 Super Crew had a similar issue - dealer replaced drive shaft and I think carriers - issue resolved.

Op take the truck to the dealer, they have a machine called an EVA (electronic vibration analyzer) You are describing a high frequency vibration they can pinpoint using that device if they have a tech trained to use it. That was one of my jobs when I worked at the dealer, NVH tech.

No one on the internet is going to be able to help you, that machine is a must use tool.

Is this the ‘F150 Wobble’?

I was told today by my dealer to take my truck out and put weight in bed or hook it up to my boat trailer and see if my issue is still there under a load
