I don't care how well trained or experienced you are you'll some days be ripping your hair out.
Part of the problem is Ford doesn't allow technicians to think for themselves. (many cant anyways but I digress).
1)Verify the complaint. if yes go to step 2.
2)Check for TSB's that address verified complaint.
2a) If TSB located - perform prescribed repair. Verify if condition is corrected. Yes? You are a great technician. No? Why did you perform that TSB?
3) Contact Ford and wait for instructions on how to proceed.

It’s step 3 in my experience that is costing Ford $$$$$. Because it took so long on step 3 on two different occasions, that I am getting a new truck and they’re taking my old one ( now fixed as far as I can tell- 500 miles) back.

Did not have to be this way, but it is what it is. That’s crazy pants. They should have answers for techs in 24 hours, and parts in hand in three days or less. But over 50 days? SMH.....

Use Fuelly to record every fill up. Most accurate way of keeping track of miles by date. It also allows you to put in services performed. This will help with record keeping when the service isn't written up properly, and to track how many miles you didn't put on the truck.
