2018 Lariat BO sound system is terrible in my new truck
Have had my new truck for about a week. It’s a custom 2018 Lariat with 502a package that I bought at dealership. And I am very disappointed with the sound system. The speakers are clear, but any thing with a little bit of bass makes it sound like the front speakers are blown. The subwoofer behind back seat gives next to nothing. Could it be the speakers are not set up right? Because I have heard lots of good things about the BO system. My 2016 Lariat that I traded in with the Sony system sounded a million times better.

I had Sony and was awful, my 18 has B&O and is an improvement although is not great. Aftermarket sadly is the only way to get great in a Ford right now.
if you're Sony sounded better, it's broke, sit in another truck to compare and have the dealer fix it

Man the BO is a 1000 watt system if I remeber correctly, unless you are reallly picky the system should be great for most people. With that being said, I would take it to the dealership. What you are describing sounds like something is wrong and needs to be fixed under warranty.

My B&O sounds great. The bass from the sub behind my seat works well. Don't get me wrong, It doesn't sound like a Fosgate 12" or anything, but for a 8" it's enough to have my mirrors vibrating. You might want to go to a few dealers and listen to the systems in a few trucks to see if the sound is a match for yours. I'm not trying to be funny or rude, but have you adjusted the bass in the equalizer?

No worries. Yes I did adjust equalizer and play with it. When I put fade all the way to the back, there is hardly anything coming from the sub. I think the amp and sub are not wired correctly. Gonna take it back to dealership sometime this week and have them look at it, if I can’t figure it out.
