Heard Ford went to a twist **** to put the new F150 to put it in and out of gear.

That's bad news for me. Cause one of the last things I want is a twist ****.

Drove a car with a twist know. Got out of the car and said we are threw with this model.

And I also understand Ford is either discontinuing the 5.0 V8 this year or next year. Except for the raptor. And mustang.

These two thing will make me look elsewhere and not get rid of my 2014 F150 5.0 XLT 4x4 till then.

You guys with the Ecoboost. YOu like paying 3500 more for the 3.5 ecoboost. than the 2.7 ?
The V8 is only 1800.00 more.
Takes very little work to make the 5.0 run.

The foreign market is gonna come in and bring trucks with what people want.
A V8 motor and a gear shifter. Now what the MFG wants to offer the consumer.

Why not buy a diesel. All the ecoboost specs will be out the door.

I like paying for what I need..

Some people buy a truck for a specific reason, for me it was towing. I wanted maximum towing capability for a TT or 5th wheel without the need to purchase a 3/4 ton truck. The 2018 F150 3.5 EB with the max towing package delivers, the 2.7 or 5.0 were never considered.

Diesel was made for towing. Still have a F250 Lariat supercab 7.3 4x4 that I refuse to get ride of.
Has done everything that I wanted for it to do. I like the international motor.






All the raptors I have seen says 6.2 V8
Never got out and looked at them.

Yup those are the old ones, from 2017 up they come with the high output 3.5 ecoboost and only that engine.

You said that the 5.0 is going away except in the Mustang and Raptor, then you say that all Raptor's you've seen say 6.2 V8. You might want to research stories a bit more before reposting some of their content. I know the Fusion went to a dial shifter in 2017, but I don't know of any other Ford vehicle with a dial shifter.

I think the Expedition has a rotary dial shifter. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. We aren't shifting by cables and levers anymore. All electronic. This OP is obviously full of Bull Butter.

I heard Ford is discontinuing the V8 in like 2019 And only the Mustang and Raptor will get the V8 motors.
I never looked at a Raptor at the dealership. Not willing to part with that much money on a truck.
All the Raptors I had seen had a 6.2 engine.
I've drove a 3.5 ecoboost . I personally like the 5.0 motor that I have had in other Ford trucks.

I still think that a V8 motor will last longer in the long run than a 6 cylinder. No matter what the Hp.
Guess with that statement everybody that has a ecoboost its a slap in the face.

And I have a friend that is a mechanic that said a customer brought a brand new f150 in and it had a **** to put it in gear. He could of been lying to me.
I know i've seen the new lincoln continental with a ****. Seen a dodge with a ****.
My money will not see a knog in anything I drive.
I want a shifter on the floor or on the column.
If anybody else likes a ****. Its your right to run out and buy one.
But I'd rather see ford loose millions of dollars with a ****.
