Default 2017 XLT replacing headlights bulbs with LEDs

Hello everyone, i was wondering if someone has replaced the halogens with LEDs on their 2017 XLTs. I was following the you tube videos on how to remove the headlight assembly (where it says, it works for 2015-2017 F150's) but i believe 2017's are little different than 2015/2016.

I would skip all the steps and go straight where you pull out the headlight assembly after removing all bolts/screws (as per the you tube videos). I found there is an additional screw/bolt which is holding the headlight internally and you can't unscrew it from outside. I believe the only way you can do it if you go under the hood and unscrew it somehow but by the time i gave up.

So end of story, does anyone tried to remove the headlight and faced the same issue on 2017's ? how did you work the issue out?

Here is the link the video -

Cheers!
Aman

I just got my Led bulbs in tonight and was going to install them tomorrow night. Can you get to both the high and low beams through the fenders? If so it sounds like that may be easier then taking the front apart.

That seems to be a major PITA to change your headlight

Would you guys believe there are vehicles out there with an even poorer design than the 13th gen? Ford should assign one of their "designers" to do nothing but change out headlight buckets, and/or just the bulbs at minimum wage on weekends and all holidays. The colder and wetter the weather, the better.

Yep, wheel well... Don't dismantle the whole headlight just to change bulbs. This is just insane.

Default Light output

How are you guys liking the light output on the LEDs in the stock halogen housings ? I hear a lot of complaining that putting LEDs on the stock housing will blind oncoming drivers.

Oh oh, that can of worms.
On my '12, I initially changed out my stock bulbs with some from LifeTime LEDs. They were better than stock, and I never got flashed from oncoming traffic, but there was a better, and more $$$ alternative, a full retrofit with projectors, which, I also did
I don't know if I'll be switching or not, I'm waiting on another member to give his feedback before I do, this guy knows what he's doing. If I do it, I dread changing them out, Ford just made it a total PITA.
