Default 2017 Limited discounts

OK...I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a new truck. I have been searching for a long time and have a question for everyone. At this point....early August.....what would a good dealer discount be on a 2017 Limited. Should I wait? I am thinking somewhere around 12% or more. Is that too much to bargain for? My current truck still runs well, albeit 14 years old, so I am not in a super hurry and don't need to be rushed. But with the somewhat new design for 2018 this should be a good time to get a hefty discount.

Let me know what you think!! Thanks!!

First, take the MSRP and throw it out the window. It's irrelevant. The invoice price would be where to start. You can build and price on Edmunds.com and get the invoice (don't know if this is the true invoice price or not, but likely more correct than anything the dealer would show you). Edmunds also lists the factory rebates.

Put on a pot of coffee and make sure you have a few hours to spare (LOL). Some great info in this thread....

Depends on where you live man. Up here its "Dealer Invoice Pricing" time so there are some admirable discounts.. My window sticker was 39, I got it for 28k. Plus, Costco members get a discount.

No matter what dealer$hip you go to, there will always be a deal or promotion on for something or other.

Bought a 17 Platinum FX4 yesterday and got just over 10K off sticker. Hope this helps.

With Rebates as high as $5250 and dealer discounts (many including some of their holdback), right now, its easy to get $10,000 off a higher trim level.

I got $8550 off an XL STX!
