Default 2016 King Ranch wiring issues already?

I've been told that the wire from the BCM to the PCM is causing a fault, which is preventing my remote start function to no work. How do I find that, can I replace that myself without paying the dealer, should that be cause for concern for the rest of my wiring in the truck and shouldn't that be covered under my Ford extended warranty? For a truck that's only five years old, that seems odd to have wiring issues already.

Why don't you just take it in and tell them your remote start is not working and see what they say? They will tell you if it's under warranty or not.

That's what I did. But a truck that's only 5 years old having electrical issues? That seems a little ridiculous to me.

It`s a truck. Made by humans & robots. Anything manufactured can or will have problems. Sometimes right after it`s made & sometimes later down the road. That`s why they give warranties & that`s why warranties have time/mileage limits. If you peek over on the Rolls Royce, Porsche, Audi, Land Rover, Benz etc. forums, you will see they have some of the same issues as Ford products & cost much more. Just the way it is. Good luck getting yours sorted out.

Sorry, it was unclear to me in you post whether the answer was from the dealership or not. So I assume nothing they would cover in the extended warranty?
