2015 Tonneau cover on a 2012?
 

Hey everyone, new here just have a quick question. I got offered a tonneau cover off a 2015, will that fit on my 2012? Both are SuperCrew 5.5ft beds.

I'd guess not. The Tonneau's are specifically for 2015+ or 2009-2014. Assuming it has to do with the aluminum vs steel body/bed. Will let the pro's chime in further though but I highly doubt it.

I accidentally bought a 2009-14 soft roll up tonneau off of Amazon for my 2018. It fit, so I didn't bother returning it. Haven't noticed any leaks yet. It has the velcro sides, they don't perfectly line up, but there is enough contact between the two pieces to still function properly. So I can vouch that that type does work. But a hard cover, or a tri-fold may not... You didn't mention what kind of tonneau it was.

I used the rollup tonneau off my '12, put it on my '17. Should work the other way around.
