Precisely. The new Ranger has 2 diesel options and the New Transit van shares the 3.2L with it. If the F150 was offered with a diesel mine would be gone tomorrow. We already buy diesel in bulk

Agreed. And diesel emissions are less harmful than gasoline. Plus eco-friendly diesels can be made without using food (corn) ever heard of the grease conversion kits?

I don't know about you guys, but I always hate it when I am driving behind a diesel. Pickups or larger, they always stink, and burn my nose. Whatever that is can't be good for the environment.

I applaud the regulations for finally starting to clean up diesels. Yeah they make more power unclean, but I don't want to go back to the pollution days of yore. Or like China is now. Yuck.

I think the EPA crossed a line. An efficient diesel is a diesel that burns clean since it takes the most use of the fuel. Where it's not efficient is when you see smoke. I'm no expert on diesel but it does have a smell. Whether that smell is actually bad or not, who knows. But to say that a smell is bad for the environment is a bit far fetched.

Remember the govt touting Clean Coal! There are clean burning diesel engines. If the EPA gets you focused on cars/trucks being the culprits of emissions you wont recognize the huge globs of chemicals being spilled into our waterways, or the plumes of toxic gases being mushroomed into the air we breath. Emissions is the least of our worldly concerns. Plant more trees instead of cutting them down and watch how quickly the emissions is a mute point.
