Default 2015 F-150 Collision Avoidance System

I have a one week old 2015 F-150 Lariat Super Crew. It is equipped with all the latest safety equipment that Ford currently offers at this time. The BLISS, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Parking Aid all work including the 360 Camera View. I have tried to get the Collision Avoidance System to trigger but I have had no luck. My wife's GMC Acadia Denali triggers its Collision Avoidance System at even a hint of rear ending someone. The option for Collision Avoidance System is turned "On" and I have it set on "Sensitive" although I have tried "Normal" and "Low". I have contacted the dealer but their tech who works on this particular system is off for the next two days.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to why the system is not alerting?

Thank You in advance.

Mine kicked on for the first time today. I was pretty close to the SUV in front of me and closing. I'd wager 10' or less from my front bumper to their rear bumper. Mine is set to sensitive.

Thanks for the reply but 10' at the sensitive level is a bit close. If it had been set to Low you would have been tapping on the shoulder of the driver in the other vehicle.

I'm generally not a tailgater, so I doubt I'll see it kick on much.

I also think it doesn't activate if you're already braking.

Tailgater.....also not me but my wife's Acadia Denail triggers a lot when she is driving but I also have it set pretty high. She is blonde so I don't think I need to say much more than that.
