Default 2014 XLT Ecoboost w AC problem

My brother's 2014 XLT F-150 EcoBoost, when on Max AC Setting, says whenever AC compressor "cycles" 4-5 timer per min, a warm flow of air is felt at the vents. It is especially noticeable under a heat load in inside cab and high ambient temp's. He does not experience this in other vehicles.

Anyone have an idea of what is happening or is not happening that should?

Thank you, tstex

One of the complaints, see post: compressor cycling fix, is that the ac compressors cycle on and off too much and the trucks dont get cool.

First thing I would suggest is have the system evacuated, and checked for a leak. If no leak, have charged with correct amount.

Thanks Ed...He bought the extended warranty so everything should be covered...

I did read that thread and it started off w some kind of add-on device to help cool the system better, but I had to go so I could not read much of it

In a nut shell: There is a temperature probe in our evaporator coils. It is suppose to cycle the compressor between 36-38 degrees coil temp. In some trucks, for some unknown reason, they are not cycling within that range. The Temp probe has a resistance range that it operates within. For those whose trucks dont get the coil cool enough, the added Resistor tricks the the system into thinking the coil is warmer, therefore keeping the compressor on longer making it cooler.

He could also have a blend door issue.

Thanks Ed - What's a blend door issue?

Well, its a door that opens when you turn the temp dial to warm the cabin air and it sticks in that position, in a nutshell! It allows outside warm air to mix with cool air coming from evaporator.
