I figure by the time it comes out, there will be some aftermarket stuff ready, right? If not immediately then by the following spring.

hmmm pretty cool

im not really into the eco-boost
test drive both decided on the 5L
i would love to have seen ford re-do the lightning with a blown 5L
and add some suspension
this is the opposite of my past truck tacoma xrunnner great suspension and handling minimal power

I might guess somewhere around $41k with 4x4.
My 2012 RCSB had an MSRP of $36k.

The Ford media site says "four-wheel-drive" but I'm wondering if it will be a more simple, but heavier duty 4x4 system. I have a feeling it will be an AWD system with the computer-controlled traction monitoring.

Thoughts?
Just noticed on a blown-up picture of the dash the on/off **** for either the 4x4 or AWD system, with no options for high/low in view:

This looks like a rear electronic locking differential switch to me. It says "On/Off".

My FX2 has this exact same ****/set up.

Ah. Back to square one on the 4x4 vs. AWD question, then. Thanks for pointing that out.

I really miss the LSD my old 2011 XLT came with. I don't care for the one wheel burner on the street because I can never remember to reach up there and turn the thing on when I need it lol.

I liked the positraction being there when I needed it without me having to think about it.
