2014 F-150 XLT - Install of OEM Remote Start
I have a 2014 F-150 XLT. It did not have the remote start installed. My key fobs are three button with unlock/lock/panic. I bought the O.E.M. remote start antenna off of Ebay. Manf. part number BC3Z19G364A or DA8Z-15603-A. Once installed I will have the Ford Dealership flash my system to recognize the remote start. Will I be able to use my existing key fobs to use the remote start through some combination of Lock & Unlock? I'm finding conflicting information and apologize if this question has been previously answered. Thanks!

No, you can use them to lock unlock and panic only, you can save some coin and activate that remote start your self using a free software program called Forscan and a Windows tablet or laptop and a usb/obd2 pass thru cable from amazon. There's a sticky thread near the top of the 09-14 section of this forum that explains everything you need to know.

As I said no, you will only be able to use them in their current function, that remote start system requires the 4 button key fob that came with it.

Thanks for all the information. I got the new key, OBD2 to USB, and R/S antenna all in the mail. Based on that forum, I need to get an extended FORSCAN license. Does that still hold true? If so I will submit for it so that maybe I will have it by the time the parts arrive.
