2013 fx4 vibration noise when I shift into park
#21
Guys! Its a bad transmission valve body. My dealer was able to duplicate the problem and ordered parts today. Also, thank you to Ford Service for contacting the dealer for prompt service. I hope this helps everyone that has the same issue.

I think that one of my friends had this or similar problem with its 150. Will have to ask him what exactly was the prob and how did he solve it. If he didn't ill give him the instructions from here

The dealer is Covert Ford in Austin, Tx. My service advisor is Adam Miller. I would send a private message to Crystal at ford service to get the ball rolling. Also, the exact same symptom happened with the Taurus, so I would look up the TSB (Google it) and reference it when talking to your service rep. I will send a picture of my service receipt that includes symptom, diagnostic and parts replaced to anyone who needs it. Email to stxventures@gmail.com

@frank2013: 2 days and 200+ miles, the problem has been solved along with my clunky 3-4 shift. I could duplicate the problem on demand when parking on steep driveway...no more. Ref TSB 13-04-15 when you go for service. See below.

I think mine might be doing this also, I usually wait with the truck in drive until the revs drop and the slight shudder stops before putting it in park. Never tried putting it straight into park. Once in a while I get a pretty good clunk from 3rd to 4th.
