2013 F150 sometimes doesn't start.
When I turn the key it makes a kind of buzzing noise, doesn't crank, and doesn't start. If I stop and try again it will start. But this is happening more often. The battery is fine, all the lights come on. What is it?
I’ve never needed to shift to neutral. If I just take the key out and put it back in it will start on the second try. I haven’t noticed a click, it’s more of a buzzing-ish sound. And it doesn’t crank.
Sounds like the starter is slipping or not engaging, possibly time for a new starter. Mine has done it twice in the 50k I've put on my '13.
Does it sound like this? (I put the timestamp on there, should start a couple seconds before the sound but the forum might be different, if not then start around 6:50)
You say it's starting to happen more often - I'd probably just replace it to be safe. Or be certain you have something to hit the starter with if you really wanna test your luck lol

Yup, I noticed in the video it started to turn over then made that noise - the two times or whatever mine has done it, it didn't crank at all either. Just buzzed.
