2013 F-150 "Soundscreen" Windshield Question
Hey folks,
I had to replace my "Carlite Soundscreen" windshield yesterday due to a massive crack from a rock.
When I picked up the truck from the dealership, I noticed that there does not appear to be any weatherstripping/rubber around the windshield.
The windshield is the exact same as the original, however, I can not remember if there was any rubber around it or not.
Can someone with a similar model check and see? Or, even better, post a picture of your truck's windshield with a "soundcreen" glass?
Thanks so much for helping!

misses 3 on the tree
no rubber around the windshield, just the sealer under the glass. You can't see it.
there is the thin strip of rubber, maybe you can see it here. Just took this.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I went to the dealership and specifically asked for the original glass (Carlite Soundscreen) -- it cost me about $500 too.
Glad to know they didn't "forget" to install weather stripping, but I find it weird that a windshield wouldn't have it.
Doesn't it seem like exposed glass edges would chip or crack more easily without a weather strip protection? Weird...

Golf ball hit the top of my windshield today and it cracked all the way down. Thinking of taking it Monday to a Ford dealer and ask for OEM replacement. Glad this recent thread popped up so I have an idea what the strip looks like.
I have heard a couple of bad experiences with safelite in my area, so I will stick with Ford. So sad to have this happen to my two month old truck.

I had no idea that the dealers replaced windshields. Thanks for the info.
