Well CORD if it wouldn't bother you to pay full price for a repaired truck!that when you go down the road it sounds like the back windows are down!and the fact the you've take the truck back numerous times for this issue!then to find out this has been done!Llgive you the dealers name and maybe the next truck you buy he can put it to you,as far as the truck would you want it,all I want is what Is what I purchased,a new truck.not a repaired truck, and I paid full price.ill buy another truck.just not from that dealership.i can afford the truck, thanks!!!!just don't like getting taken advantage of!!!!!

At my dealer they warranty their paint repairs for as long as you own the vehicle. You may want to ask that question, and if the paint job looks good you should be OK. I do understand how you feel, I would have been upset I wasn't told also. But I'll bet the paint is better than what's on my Platinum from the factory. And, if the dealer is trying to fix the wind leaks you'll have to give him that chance. It's not the ultimate situation, but that's where you are right now.

I'm with the OP on this one. Frankly, nine tenths of a good paint job is the prep work. And god forbid, they paint it when it is too cold the paint flakes off. I've seen too many ****ty paint jobs that looked great for the first year. And really, would you want to go back for warranty work from the shop that screwed it up the first time around. The only thing the factory paint job got going for it it's relatively consistent, whether good or bad. And that's what he paid for when he bought a NEW truck.

As for the dealer that did this, he's dishonest and knows it. He should have been up front and told perspective buyers that the truck had been damaged and repaired back to factory specs and it will be sold at a discounted price. Seems simple since he probably put in an insurance claim somewhere down the line. I'm betting he made out twice on this deal.

I'm wondering if the op ever contacted Crystal with the info she requested so she could help. Or does he not want help?

I was wondering the same thing. I love the Ford Brand but hate the customer service at most local dealerships. Mostly bad luck everytime I go for any service issue.

I did hear from crystal, she sees my issue with the truck, they arent hidden, but with the same results, you need to deal with the owner or manager of the dealership.

Amazing how the Ecoboost can cause so many nightmares. Ford should quit building it.

I agree with the OP on this, if I pay $40k+ on a new vehicle I expect everything about it to be new. I would bet a simple letter from a lawyer would go a long way on resolving this issue.

Don't pay any lawyer in advance or even a retainer. If you do, they usually assume your going to lose that's why they want a guaranteed payment amount upfront. Just phrase it so they get paid only if certain criteria gets meets, like you get the outcome you want.
Once you start playing with the Bigs Boys and their lawyers, they will bury you in fees that's usually means you will lose no matter what.
