Just wondering if anyone has had a purge valve solenoid go bad or what are the most common symptoms of one going bad. My truck is throwing a po172 and po175 code system to rich bank 1 and bank 2. Just wondering if this could be causing the codes any help is greatly appreciated.

if you just want to throw parts at it, you could do plugs, air intake cleaning, and 02 sensors.

I replaced the plugs about 3 weeks ago.

Try the cheap things first, check your air filter to see if it's dirty and clean your MAF sensor. If those are dirty it might be telling your engine to give more fuel.

If you're talking about the purge valve ontop of the throttle body area, you can test it to see if it's faulty. Youtube the test. If you're talking about the blue pcv nipple, you can also test that by removing and shaking it. I recommend just replacing it anyhow, it's a $9 part.

You could have bad o2 sensors, leaky injectors, vacuum leak etc.
