So im trying to plan on replacment shocks, wont be any time soon but its always good to plan ahead you know? im looking into topgunzcustoms. and im curious. i have a 6" fabtech lift and you know how its the coil in the front and then the shock in the middle? is that all you really need to replace? the shock, not the coil? i know the back ones you just replace them easily, but yeah, just curious.

That one. The coil has the Fabtech text on it so it's that gonna stay the same and just the shock is replaced? In the middle.

Thats actually your stock coil (you can see the tag from the factory)...one of the fabtech options for lift is the spacer that seats underneath the stock coil and a new strut. I dont see many people get that option nowadays. If you are gunna stick to just the 6" you can get the 6" Bilsteins all the way around. Well it is actually 6" front strut and the rear 5100 bilstein is for 3-4" of lift...You will see that on the topguncustomz website. You can replace the front coils if you want to but unless you notice any wear/tear they should be okay. Those you can get from Rockauto for fairly cheap in you wanted.

You could....but look at some factors first.

There are 2 types of AAL. Long vs Short. The long ones have been preferred choice with our trucks because they ride much smoother than the short ones do. Also, I dont know if you already have an AAL if you can add another AAL on top of that...might have to hear someone weigh in on that topic.

Also look at how you want your truck to sit. Is it level now? front or back sit higher? Then look at the level kits and AAL and try to match them up with how you want the truck to sit. I have that with mine now. After installing my 6" lift the back sits 1-1.25" higher. So I just ordered a 1.5" AS level to hopefully get it completely level. I have seen a bunch of people go with a 2" level on top of the 6" but not too many 2.5". Probably just because it isnt a whole number..haha.

Oh I forgot to mention...A good AAL you can look at is the Pro Comp one from Summit Racing. $107 shipped and it is the long type.

I kinda want it a bit higher in the front. And I would want to go up 2" inches of lift completely cause I kinda wanna get speed in my truck, don't want a tall fast truck to spin out or lose control lol and 37s wouldn't be good for going fast as 35s would.
But yeah, thanks avtually that info helped. Nauh I dont have an AAL. Just a 6" lift. Fabtech.
It sits pretty level but wanna go just a bit bit higher. I might just get those shocks for now since new shocks give you a higher stance anyways. Thinking coil would be fine?
I just wanna replace them cause I got the truck with the lift So don't know how old the lift is.

Oh I see...I think the Fabtech lifts do have an AAL option unless you have stacked blocks out back. I would have to see a picture of your springs and the rear end of truck to be able to tell. Yeah I think your lift is fairly old...from the look of the front setup anyways. You should be fine with the coil springs that you have now. You might want to contact topguncustomz and make sure those Bilsteins will fit your front setup how you have it now. I just sent a part of my stock struts (the lower spring seat) to a member on here because he needed the stock spring seat in order to use those same bilstein struts. It looks like you have a different one that came with your fabtech kit. I would just double check to make sure those will fit before you just get them....Just to be sure.
