2010 f150 lariat 4x4 comfort
I have a 2010 F150 Lariat with 400 miles on it. Last week the outside temp was in high 40's. With the heat/air completely off after 10/15 minutes my foot was cold. There is just enough residual airflow in the floorboard to freeze your foot. I spent 5 hours at the dealership here in Shallotte and they finally came up with a memo from ford that says this is normal. When you turn the heat on to 72 regardless of the vent positions there is still cold airflow out the floor vent, very cool. The only way to get warm air in the floor is to raise the temp to at least 78, with the sun coming thru the windows this is way to warm for comfort on your body. On the warm days with the ac on you are back to the colder air freezing your foot. The owners manual fully explains the htr/ac unit and vents and there should be no airflow in the floorboard in the vent position which is also the way my 2007 F150 worked. It was suggested to block off the vents but you will need some warm air to your feet in winter, somehow there is a malfunctioning of blending air going on either by the valves or a design problem. At any rate is anybody else experiencing this problem with new trucks. I like this truck but it will have to go if you can't operate it comfortable. This truck is loaded up with seat heaters and coolers, your feet comfort has to count for something?

Is anyone else with a 2010 Lariat with a dual zone auto temp controller get airflow to the floorboard in either just the vent position or in the max ac position. Also riding with system off can you feel any residual airflow in the floorboard near the drivers foot?
