First, we need to define 'prerunner'. Real prerunners can cost well over 100k. If you are just looking for a desert playtoy then things become much more affordable.

Lot's of folks say they don't have a budget but then have sticker shock when they see how much this stuff can cost.

You can pick up Raptor take-off suspension - Mid Travel - (UCA's, LCA's, tie rods, extended brake lines) for ~$1k. Add a multi-leaf pack for another $800-1000. Then add ~3-5k for a set of 3.0s front and rear (depending on brand), less if you buy used. You will also need some $ for fenders (~4-500) and paint. Add labor if you aren't the wrenching type.

It only goes up from there - gears, tires, engine upgrades, cage, etc...

sign up on the Raptor forums so you can keep an eye on the for sale sections. Also you can hit up the Raptor vendors, they usually have stock stuff they need to get rid of.

If you truly have 'no budget' then go Long Travel (~5-12k front, ~5-15k rear (leaf or 4-link), another ~10-12k for shocks (duals front and rear), ~10-20k for a cage, etc).

See the tech thread in my sig...

Default Awesome

Thank you this will help immensely, . I have around a 1,530 monthly free budget money so it shouldn't take to long to save to get these things done. But I'm probably going to get a second job so I can have more

Default Desert playtoy

i guess the desert play toy definitely sounds like what I'm looking for though. It'll be fun to fart around in for sure

Not that you are asking for financial advise but it sounds like you are a younger person with extra cash to blow. Why not throw that money in the bank or at least some of it, trust me when you are older you'll be glad you did it instead of sinking it into a vehicle you likely won't have anymore.

But if you just want to spend your cash go for it, it sounds like you have a good starting plan in place.
