Default 2006 F-150 Lariat Low beams out, high beams good.

Very recently the low beams on my 2006 F-150 Lariat stopped working. I do have some after market LED's in place. However, I removed them (they are plug and play) and put the OEM headlights back in. Same problem. I have checked both low beam fuses (#23 and #25) as well as fuse #40. All of them are good to go. What are the chances that the MFS is the issue? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Check relays. There should be a high beam relay and a low beam relay. More than likely the relays are identical. Touch the relay while someone else switches the lights on and to high, you should be able to feel the relay click over. If not, switch them around and see if your lows work and your highs go out. If so, problem found.

Your fuses are good but, are you getting power to the fuses? The wrong leds can burn the fuse box. Happened to me.

The LED's have been on the truck for a long time, I would hope that wouldn't be the problem, but certainly will check the voltage at the fuse box. Thanks!

You can just use a test light just to see if power is getting to the 2 low beam fuses. I put a led in the drivers side of my truck and turn it on to test. The led stayed on for 10 seconds and went out. It ended up burning the board in the fuse box, but didn't pop the fuse. So, $80 later on Ebay I had another fuse box and problem solved. Also check relays too.
