Default 2005 5.4L Fuse # F14 keeps blowing in Start/Crank Position

Replaced the motor and now having issues with Fuse 14 blowing in Crank/Start Position. Doesn't blow with the key on. Done some research on it and have tried just about everything everyone has suggested on the forums I've read. Can anyone help?! About ready to push this truck off a cliff!!

Replaced Starter and DTR. Don't see any pinched or wires that could be grounded out.

Have tried unplugging A/C High, trailer tow relay, DRL, checked the ground and power to starter, unplugged reverse lights, and tried in neutral. Not having any luck. Wires don't seem to be bare anywhere that we have seen. Next step if I don't get any other ideas is to pull the intake and start taking the wire loom apart and checking every wire running from DTR, Battery, and starter.

Yes new starter and dtr. Would a bad starter solenoid be popping the fuse? It's new but I've heard several people say they've had to try more than one starter to get one that works.

Yes it would.. that’s why I asked.. gotta be a pinched or bare wire or a bad starter or solenoid .. only happens when you go to crank..

I'll get another starter and see what happens, appreciate it and I'll get back with the dilemma.

Old starter tested good but got another one just in case. Going to put it on tonight. Keep hearing it's a short but no one's stated where it most commonly shorts out at to cause the issue we are having.

Could be a shorted out starter or solenoid.. if you had a multimeter we could troubleshoot.
