Default 2004 Fx4 f150 thinking about purchase

I am new to the forum, im thinking of purchasing a 2004 f150 fx4 , really wanting some opinions . They are asking 5995.00. The truck has 216,000 miles, I have looked at it, very clean , seems to have been taken care of. It has a salvage title though. I put the vin in carfax and it came back with 38 records, and wants 40.00 to see the report. This a buy hrre pay here lot, I asked them about the title and said it was like that when they got it. What would be your opinion on this? Is there anyone who has access to carfax reports?

This truck has been on my mind for 3 weeks now, would be trading in my ram 1500 4x4 off road edition on it , just the salvage title and miles scare me. Lol

If they have all the receipts and stuff showing the repairs done after the salvaging, then you could think about it more reasonably. But if there is zero paper work or even info on how the truck made it to be claimed salvage. It's a crap shoot. Could you be perectly fine and no issues?yes. Could you have wierd issues come up? Yes. So if it's a nice truck and the repairs look good and you can get them down on the price then you need to decide if it's worth the risk to you. Also FYI insurance won't cover the full value of the vehicle unless you pay for a set amount you want covered for.
