I bought a 2000 F150 last year. The tailgate is rusty and the bottom left of the gate has rusted off, so it just hangs there. I went to the junk yard to look for one and the guy there said that that model/style was from 1997-2004. Can someone tell me if that is correct and will the 2000 F250's tailgate fit my F150?

You can have a 97-03 f150 tailgate a 04 heritage f150 tailgate and a 99- current super duty tailgate will also fit with minor modification
