Default 2 cans of plasti dip & a boring Friday= this...

I was bored Friday so I dipped my grill. Just thought I would share. The project started by me dipping the emblems.

Looks good!

I just bought a King Ranch/Lariat grill to make the Tremor type grill. So basically I have to hide the chrome. I am leery of PD because it is so easy to remove but I know thousands and thousands have used it and like it.

How many coats did you do? Do you feel it will last? How would it handle a powerwash?

Any insights would be helpful. Thanks.

Looks like you did a very good job. Can't wait to see what you do when you are bored and have a whole weekend

I did 5 coats. Let it dry about 30 minutes between coats. I dipped my whole car a year ago. The paint held up great. They say you can power wash plasti dip but it always made me nervous. I always hand washed it. It was time for an upgrade so I sold it and bought a new Platinum! Hope these pics don't get my post deleted. Hahaha

That grill actually looks pretty sweet. Not a fan of dip, but that two-tone makes it look fantastic.
