2.7 Ecoboost/10 speed vs. 3.3 L/6-speed?
I'm looking at buying a pretty much bare-bones 2018 4X2 regular cab XL, with 3.55 E-locker, 101A group and a hitch and not much more.
I had the 2.7/6 speed in a 2016 XL 4X4 supercab and know just how capable it is, but I am reading good things about the 3.3 as well.
I don't do a lot of towing, and it is pretty light stuff when I do. Wondering if the 2.7/10 is worth the extra $1K. Which combo is likely to be the most reliable and give the best fuel economy?

2.7 will be much more fun to drive and I do believe it has better EPA ratings as well.
Also, depending on how long you are keeping your vehicles (you own a 2016 and plan on changing it...), reliability might not be an issue at all. EB aren't known for being as reliable as the N/A lineup, but Ford has improved a lot over the years.
If you liked your previous 2.7TT, I'd get another one. Will have a higher resale value too.

TT the 3.3!! lol
I say for resale purposes, go for the 2.7/10
You'll be able to recoup more than the 1K difference if and when you sell.

Yah... Lot more people interested in bigger (well, number wise because the 2.7 is actually smaller than the 3.3 ) engines! Also, 1000$ is not a lot more.
I tried the 2.7 before choosing the 3.5 and I was impressed a lot with the power. That engine is quick! The only reason why I went with the 3.5 is BC I wanted both the super crew & the 6.5ft bed configuration (157'' wheel base).
