Just my 2 cents.
You should hang out with smarter people then.

Drove a 2.7 RWD crew cab XLT today. Identical to what I want in the Lariat. and same body style as my 2014.
I drove about 60 miles and did Highway and local traffic and a few hard acceleration and highway pulls (60 to 80). Mileage for about 8 highway and 8 local (45 mph) roads was 24.7 on the trip computer, and I got 19.6 when pushing it. Acceleration is as good and maybe better then my 3.5 and both have the 3.55 rear ratio, I am sold, this is what I will order for the driving I do. Thanks for all the input.

I just bought a new STX with the 2.7 twin turbo and I would NOT take anything for it. It has wayyyyyy more power than I need for taking off and for anything that I would be towing. It appears so far to be an EXCELLENT power-train package and an excellent overall purchase,

with this said I'd get the 2.7

I'm retired and enjoying my 2019 3.5 STX. So far one month old, 1900 miles and averaging 20.5 mpg combined. I don't plan on towing more than 5K but know I can tow much more if needed. Life is short, get what makes you happy. My problem was finding a STX SCREW that had a 3.5 Eco, tailgate step, tow mirrors and max tow package in black. I had no choice but special order. Enjoy your new ride.....

Mid July is what they tell me But I still love my 2014 xlt SCREW with the 3.5.
I may try and sell it privately a couple of weeks before delivery, They offered 21 k in trade I wonder what a fair price would be to ask for a 33,000 mine 2014 XLT with leather would be?
