Default 1993 F150 Sometimes Won't Start

I have a 1993 F150 4x4 with the 302. Sometimes it will fire right up first try but occasionally will not start at all. It turns over and chugs a bit if i give it some gas, but wont start or dies right away if it does start. Check engine light is on but haven't had a chance to read the codes. The truck has brand new spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel pump, fuel filter, and air filter. Also, when the engine does run it never gets hot. Not sure if this is related at all.

I realized that the truck only starts cold. If it sits for a few days it will fire right up and run fine but if i shut it off and then try to start it again, it wont start. I have to let it sit for a few hours and then it will start just fine again.

I have a 1993 Bronco, 302 wth the same problem. never gets hot, as soon as the temp gauge justs goes up to the "N" in normal it acts like it runs out of gas. Pops through both the intake and exhaust. Dies and will not start until it cools down. May run for 30 miles or 30 feet same thing. Any ideas. New coil, plugs, ignition mod., idol control mod. at a loss.

Just read my cel codes and it says the engine coolant temp sensor is bad... hopefully that will solve the problem
