1987 F150 fuel tank float

How do I install a new fuel tank float? Currently my fuel gauge shows full at all times.

First of all are you sure it's your float? There could be more than just the float that is making your fuel gauge read wrong.

Have you checked the valve selector sensor?

Have you checked the wiring to the gauge inside your cab?

Most floats come with install instructions. It's not very hard to manage. Just hope you don't have any rusted bolts holding that old tank up. That's the hard part.

Thank you

I want to thank you for the information, as you can tell, I am not much of a repairman. My experience is in computer repair.
I will check to see if there are any ather reasons why my gauge is reading full all the time.
