'17 F150 4x4 5.0 engine revs braking hard
On my 2017 F150 5.0 6 speed
Quick question: When coming to a quick stop, the engine revs. Normal or abnormal?

Trans rev like neutral, engine rev at quick stop
Well the engine revs up while the transmission is gearing down or ???? When I come to a hard stop the engine revs up... could it be an electronic braking gizmo? I dont have the foggiest.. just an odd repetitive occurrence. Just got thits truck March 9th, theres still a lot I dont know... probably never will 😄😄

Both
Both. More noticeable in tow, I dont have sport (I dont think I do). But even when hard braking in D it happens...Just an odd downshift perhaps... hope it's not something more... lolol 😀looking for the answer ... Normal. I havent seen any mention of this problem here although I'm new and checking out different threads, nor any YouTube mentions of it... knocks yes, revs no. Let me know if it's a problem though, I'll bring it in under warranty. Thanks....

Sounds normal.
The faster you're going, and the quicker you're trying to stop, the faster the downshifts happen, so the engine is going to rev with each downshift of the transmission to match the speed and rate of your deceleration.
If you're in tow/haul or sport, then the downshifts are much more aggressive so it can utilize engine braking more to help you decelerate quicker.
